I know that UTX and FTX don't get along. If I had UTX for and area and FTX for another area, and those areas do not make contact ie FTX for Australia and UTX Canada, would they get along?

Hello. I need to know more information about how the ORBX FTX global base package works. I have a license number and such, but, should I need to uninstall the program and migrate it to another computer...
1) How many times can I use this license?
2) Is there such a thing as license deactivation? How do you do it?
3) Does the same apply to other ORBX scenery products (Vector, OPENLC, etc)?
Thank you.
Damian
You can download it from their Support Page
I could have posted this in either the FSX or Prepar3d forum but thought that this problem is more likely to be an issue for those using P3Dv3.
According to Orbx: "There is no new content in this installer apart from the new installer routine to cater for P3Dv3 and dual installs of FSX:Boxed & FSX:Steam."
Unfortunately, although there is no new content, there is certainly content missing! If you have FTX NA Pacific Northwest (FSX or P3Dv3) and set up the sim to warn you of missing textures, you will find that starting a flight at Courtenay (CAH3) will indicate 2 missing textures.
After further investigation between FTXORBXLIBS_150331 and FTXORBXLIBS_151001, I discovered a total of 15 missing textures.
All of these textures belong in the folder: ...\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Texture
Note that if you have an earlier version of the libraries installed first, updating will leave the missing textures in place. If you are using P3Dv3 this becomes an issue because FTXORBXLIBS_151001 is the only version of the libraries designed to install into that sim.
Does anyone have the Orbx Global base pack and Vector working in PD3 V3 yet ?
I seen there is a new installer for the download version of the mesh. How do I do this with DVD version?
Title says it all...
Almost get half the fps than with default terrain.
Maybe with 2.5 the difference was not so noticeable.
Any tips to get better fps?
Hello,
I currently use Scenery Config editor to enable or disable scenery in the scenery library and at the same time
I use FTX AEC to correct for elevation issues on various add on sceneries.
My question is, should all the scenery library be active in order for FTX AEC to work or having entries disabled
in the scenery.cfg via Scenery config editor would not matter?
Can anyone help me with the error in the attached image, i've installed the latest libraries from the website.
Hello,
One friend of mine just told me about the first brazilian airport made by ORBX in the lastest pack of FTX Global Freeware Airport North America and South America Pack.
It's the Torres Airport - SBTR in the very south part of Brazil, just between a lake and the beach.
So I downloaded and installed the pack, and got the airport, but I noticed that I don't have any photoreal scenery around like my friend screenshot showed.
I updated the library with the 151001, and nothing! Tried again installing the pack (don't have an uninstall program), and nothing!
Anyone can help me? I have here the P3D V3, and huge fan of ORBX (mostly because I lived for a while in the Pacific Northwest).
Thanks!

The only area I fly with Orbx is the PNW... I like to fly GA aicrafts around here since there are so many small Orbx airport s here
Other than that I usually fly airliners (PMDG 777) with megascenery.
So do I really need FTX Global? FTX Vector? FTX LC? I don't mind them on my sim setup provided it does not hog too much resources... FPS or VAS
So which of the products of Orbx is most taxing on my system? so I can decide if I want it or not?
Any ideas?
I am just about to start reinstalling all of my ORBX products on a new FSX:SE setup on my new computer. I have read some of the other messages pretaining to a reinstall of Orbx products and have determined that I will follow the same suggested order: Global; Regions; Region SP's, airports, airport SP's, latest libraries. But a couple of things I still wonder about (it is becoming clear I really do not understand how FTX Central and Orbx libraries really work):
1) How will the whole FTX Central thing work given that there is FTX Central 1 and FTX Central 2? I will get both depending on which products I install and in what order, correct? Is there a way to get FTX Central 2 on the machine right away so it can download the newest Orbxlibs right away? Can I do that as soon as I have installed Global?
2) I plan to do this over a number of install sessions and not all at once. I plan to install Global and then fly for a bit, then later install a few regions and fly, etc. until I am done. Once I have installed the newest ORBXlibs and then I install older products what happens? Do I need to reinstall the latest libs again? Do I need to install older products to newer products in order?
Any advise greatly appreciated.
Hello,
I have PNW region and FTX Global with FTX Global openLC Alaska/Canada installed on my machine for v3. My question is which group do I apply in FTX Central 2? If I apply FTX Global with openLC I really like the scenery I'm getting but the airports are the default p3d and are not good. If I apply the North America Pacific Northwest region do I then unapply the FTX Global/open LC stuff? There doesn't seem to be a way to have them all active?

Hey everyone,
So I just got the Orbx FTX Global Base Pack, and tried to install into P3D v3, but I get an error message saying "Radio Buttons 01 > On Next, Line 16: Argument 2 must be of type string...." The exact error message is attached if anyone can help me?
Thanks!

Hi !
I just bought FTX England scenery - my first ORBX add-on.
I wanted to post this on the ORBX support forum, but when I click on the forums link there I don't see any forums, just a couple of images. I've tried in both Chrome and Mozilla. So that's why I'm posting here.
I'm using this in P3D, and it doesn't appear to working correctly. Firstly, I can see road traffic everywhere, but no roads. Another problem is that areas where there should be water are covered with ground textures. These two issues make it almost impossible to use the software for VFR, since nothing is recognisable. The default FSX scenery is more accurate with regards to water than this, so I'm hoping this is a bug and not a design!
Can anyone help?
/Jason
Since installing Obex FTX England, I have just noticed that my aircraft, has colisions with 'nothing' whilst taxing. Or it crashes into a building, from loading up in P3D. I did a test flight at Gatwick, and this happend.
The scenery looks great, but the bug is going to be annoying. Are there any solutions to this? I am using p3d V3, but I am not sure if you can turn off colisions with buildings?
Best regards
Jools
I notice some airports are having elevation problems and running Vector AEC can correct some by disabling AEC for that airport, but not all airports that need correcting are available in AEC list. How do I correct elevation problems for those airports?
I tried search but AI is not allowed? So I apologize if this is already done somewhere.
Can I just delete the FTX AI? They don't work with Traffic 360, I see they are still in the FSX folder.
Thanks
